Our soaps are fabulous. Silky, moisturizing, incredible. We've had so many people tell us that they no longer need lotions or creams after washing. We attribute that to the various butters and oils we use. Our soaps are a good size: 4.5-5 oz. at full cure. That's a great bar of soap! Also check out our gift bags, located in the soap section!
Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia Mill. (L. officinalis Chaix) (Compacta cultivar)
Common Method Of Extraction: Steam distilled
Parts Used: Flowering tops
Lavender oil, French Fine High Alt. The scent is fresh and sweet, floral, natural and winsome. Unlike some floral extracts, French Lavender is not the least bit nauseating or overpowering, though decidedly floral. Chemically the European lavenders are quite similar. Linalool, linalyl acetate, furfural, valeric aldehyde, amyl alcohol, pinene, cineol, and various other components occur naturally in French Lavender. English Lavender has higher linalool content. However, French Lavender has a higher ester content than lavenders cultivated at lower altitudes. For Lavender high altitudes are preferable. The distillations carried out at higher altitudes tend to produce improved oils, due to lower distillation temperatures.
